Major Sporting Events of 2025: The Ultimate Guide

2025 is not an Olympic year; it does not bring major football tournaments like the European and World Championships, but it is far from being without interesting events. In this tether.bet blog, we bring you the biggest sports events in 2025.

It started with the traditional New Year's Four Hills Tournament. The best ski jumpers competed in Austria and Germany for the prestigious Golden Eagle trophy, which went to sensation Daniel Tschofenig this year.

On Sunday, January 12, the first Grand Slam tennis tournament of the season started - the Australian Open, after an interesting tournament in Brisbane. Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka will fight for the title in Melbourne, with Coco Gauff also the top favourite.

In the men's draw, all eyes are on Novak Djokovic, who is chasing his 100th trophy in his career, 25th Grand Slam and 11th Australian Open.

The end of January brings us the beginning of the Six Nations tournament, which will culminate on March 15.

The beginning of February is reserved for the Alpine Skiing World Championships, with the Super Bowl awaiting us on February 9 in New Orleans.

Formula 1 traditionally starts in March, this time from Melbourne, Australia. Lewis Hamilton at Ferrari, several newcomers and an exciting season in which Red Bull Racing, McLaren, Ferrari and Mercedes dream of the title AND the ousting of Max Verstappen from the top after four titles in a row.

Major Horse Racing Season starts in March

June brings a football revolution, but let's start in order. A window for the UEFA Nations League, 24 Hours of Le Mans and the US Open in golf. And then three additional spectacles.

FIFA Club World Cup, Wimbledon, NBA Finals...

The NBA Finals kick off in the middle of the month, Wimbledon starts on June 30th, but all eyes will be on USA.

The first-ever FIFA Club World Cup tournament will be held from June 15 to July 13. It is a month-long tournament with the best clubs in the world in one place.

July brings the end of Wimbledon and the start of the Tour de France, the world's most important cycling race.

UEFA Euro 2025 Women will take place from July 2 to 27 in Switzerland, while the US Open and Eurobasket for men will start in August.

In September, an athletics show awaits us - the IAAF World Athletics Championship in Tokyo, Japan.

There will be no shortage of excitement.
