Manchester City vs Arsenal (Premier League)

A rematch of last season’s title race, this clash between Man City and Arsenal is crucial early in the season. City, unbeaten in their last 32 home league games, welcome an Arsenal side eager to close the two-point gap at the top of the table.

Last season’s corresponding fixture ended 0-0, but City have an impressive H2H record, winning seven of their last nine Premier League duels with Arsenal.

Arteta’s side, however, won two of their three encounters last season.

Arsenal will need a strong performance, as they haven’t trailed in 11 straight away games, but their record at the Etihad could be under threat.

Stuttgart vs Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga)

Last season, Stuttgart won three of their four encounters with Dortmund, but BVB have historically dominated away at Stuttgart, losing just once in their previous 12 visits (W9, D2).

With both sides in strong form, this game promises goals, with Stuttgart’s matches averaging 4.5 goals per game this season.

Lyon vs Marseille (Ligue 1)

Marseille are in fine form, unbeaten and sitting second in the table. With their attack firing on all cylinders, they’ve scored two or more goals in every game this season.

Villarreal vs Barcelona (La Liga)

Barcelona, powered by Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal, sit atop La Liga with 17 goals in five games.

They face Villarreal, who have been potent offensively but shaky defensively, conceding eight goals in five matches.

Villarreal will hope for a strong showing at home, but with Barcelona’s solid defense and attacking prowess, they’ll face an uphill battle to stop the Catalan giants from extending their winning streak.
