This year, the Billie Jean King Cup Finals brought together the 12 best world teams, which will compete for glory in the 61st Women's Tennis Team Competition in Malaga.
The Billie Jean King Cup Finals (BJK Cup Finals) begins on November 13 in Malaga, Spain.
It will be held at the Palacio de Deported Jose Maria Martin Carpena, an indoor sporting arena with a capacity of 11,300. The Davis Cup Finals will be held at the same venue.
Twelve national teams participate in the BJK Cup Finals, of which eight selections will play first-round ties. The 2023 champions, Canada, Italy, Czech Republic and Australia, will start participating in the quarter-finals.
Each tie at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals features three matches. Two are played in the singles category, followed by doubles if necessary.

The first matches are played on Wednesday, November 13, the quarter-finals start on Saturday, November 16, and the final is on Wednesday, November 20.

Some of the biggest names in tennis will participate in the tournament in Malaga. The notable name is certainly world No. 2 Iga Swiatek. The Polish superstar has recently dominated tennis, won this year's Roland Garros, and was bronze at the Olympic Games in Paris.
"I'm super happy and proud of everybody. It's been a really fun week so I'm happy that this time I could lead my team to be in the Finals. Hopefully we're going to finish it in November, but I' m super proud of what we achieved," said Swiatek after Poland booked their place in the Billie Jean King Cup Finals.
Poland have never won the Billie Jean King Cup, but a fit and firing Swiatek will give them a significant chance of getting their name on the list of champions in Malaga this year.
World No. 4 and gold medalist at the Olympic Games in Paris Jasmine Paolini will lead Italy, and a lot is expected from Danielle Collins, who could lead Team USA to the throne, as well as local star Paul Bados, currently world No. 11.
For the first time in history, the Billie Jean King Cup Finals will be played at the same time as the Davis Cup Finals. This tennis World Cup will overlap for two days (the Davis Cup Final starts on November 19).
The tournament's former name was Fed Cup, but it was changed in 2020 in honour of the icon who dedicated her life to fighting injustice, inequality, and discrimination.
"The rebranding not only recognized King's achievements in winning the tournament an incredible 10 times as player and captain but also ensures she will remain a visible role model for future generations, " stated the organizers.
BJK Cup Finals 2024 is the most prominent women's sport tennis event, bringing together 137 nations.
The most successful nation is the USA, with a record 18 championship titles.
The Czech Republic is second on the list with 11.
The player prize money purse for the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup by Gainbridge Finals is $9.6m.
The 2024 world champions will receive a combined amount of $2.4m.

The legendary Lindsay Davenport captains Team USA, which, according to fans on the tournament's official website, received 24% of the votes for the title.
Italy and Spain, with 19% of votes each, are in second place, followed by Great Britain with 14% and Canada, the title winners from last year, with 10%.
